Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Read Her Right website and mobile app (the "Service"), operated by Pattern Theory Pty Ltd (ABN 55 701 034 746) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use. By using it you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. What the Service is

Read Her Right uses AI to suggest message openers and replies and to provide coaching insights based on conversations you upload. Suggestions are generated by AI and are recommendations only. You decide what to send, and you are solely responsible for what you choose to say and do, and for how you treat other people.

3. Your content and third-party messages

You may upload conversations and screenshots that include messages from other people. By doing so, you represent and warrant that:

• you have the right to access and upload that content;
• you are not prohibited by law, contract, or the other person's reasonable expectations from sharing it with us for processing; and
• you will not upload content that is unlawful, depicts a minor, or was obtained unlawfully.

You retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service to you, consistent with the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your use of any suggestion the Service produces.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service to harass, deceive, defraud, stalk, or harm anyone.
• Do not generate content about minors or impersonate any person.
• Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

5. Subscriptions, trial, credits, and billing

• The app is offered on tiered subscriptions, each with a monthly credit allowance and a price shown in-app before purchase. Unused subscription credits roll over month to month and remain valid for 12 months from when each monthly allowance is granted; because this renews with every monthly top-up, active subscribers keep their credits.
• A 7-day free trial may be offered; unless cancelled before it ends it converts to a paid subscription (or access ends), as disclosed at signup.
• One-off credit packs may also be offered; credits from packs do not expire.
• Billing is processed by your app store (Google Play on Android, or the Apple App Store on iOS), subject to that store's terms. We do not receive your card details.
• Cancellation: you can cancel anytime through the app store you purchased from; cancellation stops future renewals. Refunds follow that store's policy and applicable consumer law.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where permitted, our liability for a failure is limited to resupplying the Service or the cost of resupply.

7. No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee any dating, romantic, or social outcome. Suggestions may be imperfect or unsuitable; use your judgement.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law (and subject to Section 6), we disclaim implied warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law (and subject to Section 6), Pattern Theory Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Pattern Theory Pty Ltd against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you upload without the right to do so.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, or legal reasons. On termination, data is handled per the Privacy Policy and our retention schedule.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email and apply going forward.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to its courts.
